ABOUT US
Our Origin Story
A baker from the time her mother finally let her into the kitchen, Lauren Meyer has had a healthy (maybe?) addiction to feeding friends and family sweet treats for decades. Wait, that just made her sound really old. Think "very few decades". Excellent. Moving on.
In 2016 while on maternity leave she needed to create something and, with a baby strapped to her in a MOBY wrap, began to bake mini chocolate Bundt cakes. Sleep depravation took over and she tried to pop the cakes out of their pans before they were completely cool. The result? Cakey crumbles all over the cooling rack. Disappointed? Sure! Defeated? Not a chance. Lauren realized that she could whip up some frosting, stir it into the cake, and ball her creation. Her obsession with cake balling was born.
Fast forward to 2022. Lauren was happily (or not-so-happily) plugging away at her Marketing career when her husband Brandon came home and asked her if she wanted to quit. Um...yes, please. Cake Ballerz was soon born. So now, if Lauren isn't driving her kids to various activities (shout out to all the Dance and Soccer Parents out there) or volunteering, she is baking and ballin' or teaching Zumba and Zumba Kids to one of her 50+ students.
Cake Ballz + Dance = the perfect balance.
